Unconsciously Incompetent

https://hbr.org/2017/09/how-to-teach-employees-skills-they-dont-know-they-lack

Do you know what you don't you know?

What areas are critical to your performance?

I get the concept but, seriously, couldn't theyáhave coined a "softer" term for it than the blunt unconsciouslyáincompetent?áá
á :)

Then again, I guessáif you are leading theánew training session you could simply avoid opening with: "All of you here today are unconsciously incompetent and I am here to shed light on what you don't know.áPay attention andáyou will be fixed in the name of performance."
